START-UPS From concept to opening day and first struggles

November 1996, record-high unemployment in Germany. The number of start-ups increased, but so did the number of bankruptcies. A hint of cautious, start-up spirit was moving across the country. Filmmakers, Reinhild Dettmer-Finke and Jochen Loebbert went to catch this spirit for South-Western Broadcasting (SWF) and spent one year accompanying new business owners.
